The innovative antimicrobial coating applied by our technicians was initially developed for use in the medical field and has been used in hospitals, operating rooms and burn wards for over 25 years.

The application forms a polymer coating that bonds with the target surface.  The bond occurs at a molecular level.  This means that the antimicrobial coating actually becomes part of the treated surface. 


physical kill. The M3D applied antimicrobial compound is unlike other solutions because it physically disrupts the cell membranes of the microbe.  That means nothing is transferred from the coating to algae, bacteria, mold, mildew, fungus, or virus.  It simply kills again and again. 
 
The cell membrane of the microbe is physically pierced by the long carbon chain of the antimicrobial and then electrocuted by the positively [+] charged nitrogen ion.  This combination produces a physical kill that remains in place and stays effective on the treated surface.


innovative application.   The innovation does not stop with the science behind the antimicrobial.  Our technicians utilize a technology originally developed for use in painting by automotive and aircraft manufactures.  The technology is called electrostatic spraying.  Our specially designed equipment electrically charges the spray so that the antimicrobial is drawn to the surface where it completely envelops all sides of the target with the correct amount of antimicrobial agent.  This ensures that we achieve a long lasting surface treatment that can be efficiently applied.  Treated surfaces cure and provide full protection within less than 60 minutes of electrostatic application.

 

timing is everything.  Recent battery advancements have now made portable sprayers practical and allowed M3D environmental to take antimicrobials out of the laboratory and /hospital and into the REAL WORLD

 

             lasting prevention.  Conventional cleaners and preventatives rely on leaching to control microbial growth.  This may be effective in the short term, but it is harmful to our environment and harmful to your bottom line.  These products are consumed by the microbes and work by transferring harsh chemicals or metals to the organism... essentially it is poison.  Inevitably the poison gets fully consumed and the growth is right back.
